SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR GUNPOINT ROBBERY – REDWOOD CITY, CA

On 7/20/21, Redwood City police arrested  27-year-old Angel Veragaleana, in connection to a gunpoint robbery. On 6/13/21, Veragaleana threatened a victim inside the store with a black semi-automatic pistol. He demanded the store’s safe and items from the display case. He racked the pistol in an attempt to pull the trigger, but the gun malfunctioned and ejected two live rounds. Veragaleana, then proceeded to smash the display case with his hand. He then fled from the store. After police conducted a search at Veragaleana’s residence on 7/20/21,  they located a pistol and a ghost gun at a second residence.
