SUSPECT SENTENCED TO 8 YEARS FOLLOWING GUNPOINT ROBBERY – GREENBELT, MD

On 3/17/21, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland published a press release regarding the sentencing of 35-year-old Douglas Amilcar-Vasquez. He was sentenced to 100 months or eight years in federal prison. He will then spend three years on supervised release. On 2/16/19, Amilcar-Vasquez and his accomplice, Ever Ramiro Torres Enriquez, committed a gunpoint robbery at a jewelry store in Takoma Park, MD. Judge Paul W. Grimm ordered him to pay restitution in the amount of $174, 967. That was the loss amount of the robbery. Click here to find out how Amilcar-Vasquez and his accomplice were apprehended.
