SUSPECTS CHARGED FEDERALLY FOR BEVERYLY HILLS, CA ROBBERY

On 10/5/22, three men were indicted by a federal grand jury for their involvement in a brazen smash and grab robbery that occurred at a jewelry store in Beverly Hills, CA on 3/23/22.  The suspects, identified as Jimmy Lee Vernon III, 31, Ladell Tharpe, 37, and Deshon Bell, 20, were charged with conspiracy and interference with a robbery. The subjects allegedly stole 19 bracelets, 4 necklaces, 7 pairs of earrings, a pair of obelisks, 8 rings, and 20 watches. Two days after the robbery, on 3/25/22, Tharpe posted large stacks of money on his Instagram account that praised his “robbery gang.” If convicted, each defendant could face up to 20 years in prison for each count.
