TRIPLE HOMICIDE SUSPECTS ARRESTED

JUNCTION CITY, KS – On 12/20/16, Jamison Layne Townsend, 35, and Joshua Garcia, 37, were arrested in Junction City, KS. The two suspects have been charged with the homicide of three pawn shop employees on 12/17/16. They were charged with three counts of capital murder for the killing of Robert Ivy, 60, Ted McLemore, 77, and Bill Mosley, 81. According to the Geary County Sheriff’s Department in Junction, KS; deputies initiated a traffic stop for a red Dodge Charger with no registration on Interstate-70. The driver of the vehicle sped off and authorities pursued the vehicle. The vehicle drove on a road leading to a dead end. The driver crashed the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was Garcia. Deputies searched the surrounding area and found Garcia hiding in the backseat of another vehicle. Garcia’s vehicle, a red Dodge Charger matched the description of a vehicle captured at the scene of the homicide in Jackson, MS. His vehicle also matched the description of a vehicle used in a burglary of a jewelry store in Pascagoula, MS.
