Woman Claims She Stole for Work

Lady Lake, FL – On February 6, 2018, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Regina Ann Carroll, 50, concealed nearly $300 worth of jewelry into her purse.

Carroll attempted to exit the store, but was detained by employees from the store.

Carroll told a responding Deputy ” I did steal the merchandise because I got a new job and needed the shoes. I know it was wrong of me. I needed the shoes for work, but I don’t know why I took the jewelry.”

She was arrested on a grand theft charge.
