WOODBRIDGE, VA – SUSPECT WANTED FOR JEWELRY STORE ROBBERY & CARJACKING

On 1/29/21, at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers responded to a call at a jewelry store. As a male subject was being shown jewelry, he implied he had a gun. He then grabbed the jewelry and fled from the location in a white sedan. On 1/30/21, officers responded to a carjacking incident. A 29-year-old woman reported that a male acquaintance was driving her car and then he brandished a machete. He used the machete to force her out of the vehicle. The woman was not injured. Investigators determined that the male acquaintance was the same subject from the jewelry store robbery. Detectives secured an arrest warrant for the male identified as Sami Souhail ANWARI. He is White, 6’0” and weighs 160 lbs. He has black hair and a teardrop tattoo under his right eye.
