JSA Offers Reward After Sales Associate Left in Critical Condition

Brandon, FL — September 6, 2016
At 7:11 p.m. the black male suspect pictured below carried out a grab and run at a mall retail jewelry store. The suspect tried on a gold necklace, grabbed another pieces of jewelry, and ran out of the store with the sales associate chasing him.

The suspect entered a silver, newer model Chevrolet Camaro, 2-door, and the sales associate confronted the suspect and latched onto the vehicle’s roof. The sales associate hung onto the car for nearly a quarter-mile, and was thrown to the pavement, critically injured and still hospitalized.

The suspect is described as light-skinned, 6’1”, 25-30 years old, muscular and with a trimmed beard. He was possibly accompanied by another suspect who was driving the getaway car.

It is reported that the same suspect may have carried out a grab and run on August 9, 2016 in Port Richey, FL, and another in Clearwater, FL. If you have information, contact Detective C. Parsons of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-0539.

The Jewelers’ Security Alliance is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect pictured above. If you have information, please call JSA on its Reward Hotline at 800-325-1883. If you wish to remain anonymous, measures will be taken to insure the protection of your identity, yet allow the payment of the reward.
