Bristol, CT- Thieves hit CT jewelry store as police probe possible link to weekend smash-grab heist

Bristol, CT – Police are investigating a smash-and-grab theft at a jewelry store in Bristol. A heist very similar to another that was reported two days earlier. 

The break-in happened Monday evening, Jan. 19, at Kay Jewelers on Farmington Avenue, Bristol police said.

Two masked suspects entered the store and used a hammer to break open a display case. The suspects grabbed jewelry from the cases and ran from the store.

Police said they were still determining the value of the stolen items. 

A similar smash and grab occurred on Saturday. Police have not said whether the two cases are connected.
