
Cincinnati, OH– Jordan Maurice Grimes, 25, of Douglasville, Georgia, was taken into custody and charged with theft, tampering with evidence, possessing criminal tools, and criminal damaging, according to criminal complaints filed with the Hamilton County Municipal Court.
Records state that Grimes entered the Watches of Switzerland store at the mall, smashed the glass, and stole $123,200 worth of watches.
Police said that Grimes used a hammer in the heist.
A criminal complaint said Grimes also attempted to hide more than $100,000 in stolen watches from investigators who used cameras to identify the suspect.
Following his arrest, Grimes was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center, where he was given a $22,500 bond.
He is expected to return to court July 25 for the tampering and criminal tools charges and July 31 for the theft and damaging charges.
