SNEAK THEFT – MELBOURNE, FL

On 11/7/21, at approximately 1:04 p.m., a distraction theft was committed at a retail jewelry store, and three diamond rings and one gold chain were stolen. At approximately 12:08 p.m., a sales associate was displaying merchandise in the showcase and failed to lock the case correctly, as she left to assist guests. At 1:05 p.m., two subjects entered and noticed the unlocked case, and stole an element of three diamond rings. The subjects exited and returned at 1:08 p.m. They proceeded to walk around the store for a few minutes, then, at 1:10 p.m., went to the showcase and stole an element with the gold chain. The loss was discovered during counts on 11/8/21. The subjects were described as two Black males. The first subject has a slender build and is in his 40’s. He is of medium height and he was last seen wearing grey sweat pants, a blue shirt hanging underneath a camo jacket, a beret, and a facemask. The second subject has a� large build. He is 6’2″, bald, and in his 40’s. He was last seen wearing dark jeans, a grey button-down shirt worn outside the jeans, and black sneakers.
