On 3/23/22, at approximately 12:19 p.m two subjects committed a glass lift theft. After initially receiving a report of a mysterious loss of 3 gold chains based on a case count, an investigation was initiated. It was later discovered via video review that on the previously listed date and time, two male subjects entered a jewelry store and proceeded towards the case containing gold chains. As both subjects begin browsing into the case acting as legitimate customers, subject #1 used his left hand and appeared to create some separation in the gap between the two sliding glass case doors.
Subject #1 then slides out an unknown tool from his right sleeve and slips it into the space between the two sliding glass case doors, hooks a gold chain, and pulls it out from the case. Subject #1 then places the single gold chain into his right pant pocket while subject #2 acts as his lookout. Once done, they briefly browse around the store before returning to the same gold case and repeat the same action, this time subject #1 removes two gold chains and places them in his right pant pocket. Both subjects then exit the store with the 3 gold chains in their possession.
The subjects were described as two Hispanic males. The first subject is in his mid 30’s to early 40’s. He is tall, thin, and was last seen wearing a black hat, blue shirt, dark pants, and white and grey tennis shoe. The second subject is in his early to mid 30’s. He is shorter, thin, and was last seen wearing a white and black shirt and dark pants.
