Waterford, CT– On 01/04/2026, a male and female couple entered the store and asked about credit while requesting to look at a gold necklace and bracelet set. The employee entered the male suspects name into the system. He alleged his name was Jesse Alvarez. The male suspect requested to look at a 24” curb necklace and matching bracelet. The employee showed the necklace and bracelet one at a time to the guest. While this was happening, the female suspect was walking around the store and then stood outside. The male suspect requested the millimeter length of the necklace. Another employee presented the quality gold catalog to the male suspect. At some point, the male suspect requested to place the necklace next the photo of the Cubin necklace photo in the gold catalog. After laying the necklace on the catalog, the male suspect grabbed the necklace and ran from the store. The female immediately followed the male suspect. Mall Security and the Waterford Police were notified. No injuries were reported.

Suspect(s) Description:

Suspect 1 – Male, Black, 35 to 45yrs, 6’2”, heavy build, wearing dark clothing with a hat and face covering.

Suspect 2 – Female, White, 35 to 45yrs, 5’7”, thin build, wearing dark clothing with a hat and face covering.
