Newburgh, NY. On June 16, 2026, a jewelry store reported that a grab-and-run theft had occurred just before closing. A lone male entered the store around 6:45 pm, interested in a gold chain. The suspect had been in the store on 06/14 without making a purchase. As soon as the employee removed the chain from the showcase and took it into his possession, he fled the store. The Town of Newburgh PD was contacted and responded to gather evidence and take a report. There were no injuries.

Suspect(s) Description: Black male, late 20’s-early 30’s, 5-10”, medium build, green t-shirt, blue shorts and red sneakers. Full beard and black framed glasses.
