Durham, NC– On July 17, 2026, A jewelry store reported a grab nd run theft. The suspect was in the store briefly prior to this visit. He left, saying that he was going to check out another jeweler in the mall. He returned and said that he was interested in seeing a bracelet. He asked about prices of some of the chains and wanted to see one. The employee took out the display with the chains, he tried one on, then grabbed the other 3 and fled the store. There were no injuries, a vehicle was identified – black 2015 Chevrolet Malibu with GA plates was identified and provided to law enforcement.
Suspect(s) Description: Male, black, 6’0″, 200 lbs,. 30 years old, brown hat, brown shirt, light blue shorts, white sneakers.
